How CF patients can get access to Triko

In October 2025, we first announced the development of Triko and Bexdeco - affordable new CFTR modulators manufactured by Beximco Pharmaceuticals. Triko is a generic version of Vertex’s miracle drug Trikafta, available at around 95% lower cost.

Since then, we have been working non-stop towards getting these life-changing drugs into the hands of cystic fibrosis patients around the world.

Last month, the very first patients collected Triko at an historic launch event in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where the drugs are produced. 

But that was just the beginning. Now, we are pleased to announce that two avenues to access are being unlocked to the wider CF community. 

Option 1 - Collect Triko from Bangladesh

People with CF or their family members can travel to Dhaka in Bangladesh to collect their medicines directly from the manufacturer Beximco Pharmaceuticals. 

Before taking this step or making any travel arrangements, patients and families should first check the personal importation regulations in their own country, including whether personal importation of these medicines is permitted, what documentation may be required and any limits on the quantity that can be brought home.

Option 2 - International Shipping 

Patients and families can also order Triko & Bexdeco via the authorised global medicines distributor Medspartner. 

Medspartner will help to guide families through the ordering and shipping process, with medicines delivered directly to patients in countries where import regulations allow.

Please note that medicines ordered now through either access route will be supplied from November, with payment requested nearer to the shipping or collection date.

While these access pathways represent a major breakthrough, our work is far from over. We will continue to work with CF families across the world to demand that their governments purchase this new affordable modulator and make them available through national health systems so that every patient can benefit from life-saving medicines. 

For too long, Vertex Pharmaceuticals held CF patients’ lives to ransom. Now, the breakthrough is here, and we will not stop campaigning until every patient, everywhere has access to the treatment that they desperately need.
